The Sri Lankan government has made it illegal for people to wear items of clothing that cover their faces.
This was triggered by the several attacks on Easter Sunday and the explosions that broke out on Friday.
The new rule was promulgated on Monday, eight days after the bombing of churches and hotels that cut the life of more than 250 short.
Asides the banning of covering the face, a number of steps have been taken to avoid another attack. Catholic masses have been banned for the time being.
