The Giant of Africa, Nigeria, has been ranked 85 on the list of happiest countries in the world, released on Wednesday, in celebration of International Day of Happiness.
The World Happiness Report indicated how 156 countries faired in terms of life expectancy, social support and corruption. Finland has maintained her position as she was ranked the happiest country in the world for the second time in a row.
Finland was accompanied by Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Iceland in the top five grouping. The United Kingdom did not find a place in the top 10. It skyrocketed to 15th, from its 19th place finish in 2018.
The United States replaced the UK by snatching her 19th position according to 2018 ranking. Libya, being the highest ranked African country, held on to the 72nd place.
The list of 10 countries that scored lowest in the index was dominated by six African countries- Botswana, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Central African Republic, and South Sudan and the bottom of the league.
