President Muhammadu Buhari is set to pay Lagos a visit today, 25th of April 2019 which has made the Lagos State Government issue out guidelines for free traffic flow.
The commissioning of a number of the state projects shall be carried out during the one-day Presidential visit, including the Lagos State Theatre at Oregun, Ikeja; Muritala Muhammed International Airport Road; new 820 Mass Transit Buses; the rehabilitated 10-lane Oshodi, the 170-Bed ‘Ayinke House’ (Maternity Hospital)) at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Ikeja and the multi-level Oshodi Transport Interchange along the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway.
The Lagos State Ministry of Transportation has thereby notified the residents of the state about the diversion of traffic on some major roads.
In a released statement, it was said that the Presidential visit will take place between the hours of 9.00am and 3.00pm. During the visit, traffic along the following routes shall be diverted:
Mobolaji Bank-Anthony Way (coming from the Presidential Wing of Murtala Mohammed Airport to LASUTH Under Bridge), Kodesoh Road, Obafemi Awolowo Way, Kudirat Abiola Way, Ikorodu Road (between Ojota Intersection and Anthony Interchange), Oworonshoki-Apapa Expressway (between Anthony and Oshodi Transport Interchange), International Airport Road through the Local Wing of the airport to Mobolaji Bank-Anthony Way and back to Obafemi Awolowo Way.
