- The Federal High Court in Abuja, on Friday, granted bail to Omoyele Sowore.
Omoyele Sowore is being tried for treasonable felony, alleged fraud, and cyberstalking the President.
Sowore was granted bail with a bond of N100 million and two sureties in like sum and the second defendant, Olawale Bakare, bail with a bond of N50 million.
Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu barred Sowore and co-defendant from addressing any rally pending the conclusion of their trial on charges levelled against them.
The judge also barred Sowore from travelling out of Abuja and the second defendant out of Osogbo during the trial.
The judge ordered Sowore to deposit the sum of N50m in the account of the court as security.
The bail conditions have been described as stringent by Sowore’s lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN).
The defendants are expected to remain in the custody of the Department of State Service pending the time they would meet the bail conditions.
