Nigerian award-winning singer, Burma Boy, during a recent interview with Billboard, talked about his coming album and his music.
During the interview, he said his sound needs to be taken to “unfamiliar countries”.
He added that he planned to penetrate their music scenes with his music.
Burna Boy also added that he is going on another tour soon and he intends on performing in countries like China and the likes.
When he was asked about his growth locally, he said that Nigerians recognize him now only because the world does.
“Nigerians love me a lot more now because they can see that the whole world likes me, too. They think I’m something special, but I’m not. I’m just a human whose skill is making music. The way I see it, everyone plays their own role in the world, and no role is more important than the other”.
He was further quizzed about how wealthy he is.
He replied by saying:
“You are only as rich as where you come from, and Nigeria has a lot of poverty”.
