- Nigerian fast-rising artiste and the ‘Aiye’ crooner, Barry Jhay, has in an exclusive interview claimed he signed an ‘illegal’ contract with Flyboy Inc.
In an interview on Cool FM, Barry Jhay discussed his label situation with OAP Do2dun. According to him, the deal was ‘illegal’ because the Flyboy Inc was unregistered as at the time the contract was made.
During the chat, he revealed how DMW boss, Davido saved him from the bad deal he had with Kizz Daniel’s Flyboy Inc a few years ago. He affirmed that Davido was a hero because he “helped me get out of the deal (with Flyboy Inc.)” He said Davido, “Did everything he could” to help him get out of the deal.
At first, Barry Jhay was reluctant to spit words out as he concluded that, “Time wasters are time wasters and we have to move on. That’s all I have to say.”
Talking about the issue of Kizz Daniel’s record registration, Jhay claimed that after he found out the record wasn’t registered, he actually went ahead to register Flyboy Inc.
OAP Do2dun never gave up on finding out more as he quizzed the artiste on how Flyboy could be his, he said, “If he (Kizz Daniel) wants papers to the company, he (Kizz Daniel) should holla at the boy.”
Barry Jhay appeared to be the first artist on Flyboy Inc but he has since left and seen his friend’s label, Cash Nation Records as his last resort. He maintained that he is really happy at his current record label and hinted that he might not have gone farther if he were with Flyboy Inc.
Towards the end of the interview, the self-acclaimed son of an entertainment Lawyer, Barry Jhay said that if he wants to sue Kizz Daniel, he will, but insisted that it isn’t needed.
