ASUUThe Federal Government has reported that it has consensed with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) members.

The four-month-old strike that has left students of Nigerian Universities idle is set to be called off, following reports from the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu.

The amount of N16.8b has been released to members of Nigerian tertiary institutions to get rid of the strike.

Mallam Adamu Adamu said:

“The strike will be called off from today (yesterday) or tomorrow (today) and certainly, there won’t be strike next week.”

The minister hopes universities across the country resume academic activities without any delay.
