ASUU Resumes Strike To Press Home Its Demands

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Taraba State University chapter, today started an indefinite strike.

According to a statement issued by ASUU chairman in the school, Dr Samuel Shikaa, the aggrieved lecturers had gone on strike action in 2018 but suspended it when the  Taraba government promised to meet its demands which comprised the provision of the needed infrastructure to optimize teaching and learning as well as the payment of the earned academic allowances from 2014 till now.

The inability of the government to fulfil their promises has triggered another strike action in Taraba State.
