Game of Thrones’ actress, Emilia Clarke, has taken a bold step by showing the world the previously unseen photos of her when she suffered a brain haemorrhage.
The haemorrhage which was diagnosed back in 2011 made the Game of Thrones’ star undergo extensive operations.
Having revealed her saddening health issues, Emilia, 32, shared unseen photos from the hospital during her recuperation from her initial brain aneurysm which she experienced when she was 24.
Disclosing her ordeal, Emilia told CBS Sunday Morning;
‘Very quickly I realised I couldn’t stand and I couldn’t walk, and in that moment I knew I was being brain damaged.
‘The second one there was a bit of my brain that actually died, if your brain doesn’t get blood to it for a minute it will just no longer work. It’s like you short-circuit.’
The actress further explained how her role as Daenerys Targaryen in Game Of Thrones helped her get over the ordeal.
“You go on the set, and you play a badass character, and you walk through fire, and you speak to hundreds of people, and you’re being asked to be – to work as hard as you possibly can. And that became the thing that just saved me from considering my own mortality, yeah.” she said
